The Institute for Water Resources (IWR) recently released a review of the 2008 regulations governing compensatory mitigation for losses to aquatic resources. While the report is limited to the administrative and procedural aspects for implementation of the mitigation rule, the news is generally good. Among other things, according to the study there has been an increased focus on stream mitigation as well as increased reliance on mitigation credits to offset unavoidable impacts. >Download the Report Summary
